'02 Boys Win Sereno Showcase Championship!
The '02 Boys battled their way through the tournament coming out on top! They finished off the tournament championship in a shootout! Congrats boys!
'04 Boys Red Team - Win Max Shacknai Tournament!
The '04 Boys Red Team coached my Coach Sean Coker and his assistant coach Tim lead the team to a Championship win! Playing 4 games on Saturday and Sunday posting wins against the Scottsdale Blackhawks, Arizona Thunder, CCV Stars, and finally AYSO 1079 Explosion.
The 04 boys won every game they played allowing only 2 goals against them in the semi-final game against the CCV Stars, going down 2 goals to 0. They battled back to win 3 to 2 to earn their spot in the final game! The final game was won 2 to 0 against the AYSO 1079 Explosion.
Ahwatukee '99 Girls Win Presidents Invitational!
Congratulations to the girls on their impressive tournament win. They tied a Chicago team 1-1, beat teams from Colorado and New Mexico 5-0 & 7-0 and was victorious in a very tough finals against Calgary SWU 4-2. Great job girls!
Alex Hernandez, Director of Coaching added to NSCAA National Coaching Education Staff
In the photo from left to right are Alex Hernandez, DOC Ahwatukee Foothills SC, Kim Sutton, Lead Instructor and Head Women's Soccer Coach at Chico State University and Jason Neumann, NSCAA National Instructor and Lead Coach for the Gk. Diploma.
Coach Hernandez has recently been added to the prestigious NSCAA National Instructing staff. The NSCAA is a leader in the implementation and education of youth, high school and collegiate coaches.
There are multiple levels of diplomas for which the NSCAA are responsible for instructing. At State level, there are 1 through 6 levels courses. Moving to the National courses are from lowest to highest, the National Diploma, the Advanced National Diploma and the Premier Diploma, as well as Goalkeeping Diplomas from the State to Premier level diplomas.
It is an incredible honor and distinction to be selected to grace this staff as the instructors are charged with the dissemination and implementation of leading youth coaches down the path of proper teaching of the game to youth players.
Additionally Coach Hernadez has also been added to the AYSA F, E & D Licensing Coaching Staff under the direction of Austin Daniels.
Inter-Club Academy Jamboree a Success!
The first ever inter-club jamboree was held at Pecos Park Recently with the Mesa Soccer Club. The event marked the first jamboree that allowed the kids to come together and learn and just play the game of soccer! A great success for Ahwatukee and Mesa Soccer Clubs. Thanks to all those who helped make this a success and took part!
Success at Fort Lowell Shootout for two AFSC Teams!
AFSC 2003 Boys White Win the “Shootout”!
Ahwatukee put the “Shootout” in the Fort Lowell Shootout with a tally of 17 goals over four games – winning the U11 Boys Championship! Congrats to Coach Patrick Andrew and the AFSC Boys White team. The team put up three wins to earn a spot in the Finals against the Tucson Aztecs, and then wrapped up the tournament with a 5-2 victory!
AFSC 2004 Boys Red take Silver Medal in Fort Lowell Shootout!
The 04 Red Boys team took on the highest bracket in the U10 field finishing with a record of 1-1-1 and a second place result! The boys capped off their tournament with a victory of 1 to 0 over Sereno Nogales in an epic battle to the end. Coach Sean and Coach Tim led the team through the tournament. The Red team was placed at the highest competitive bracket for the tournament and made Tukee Proud! The team also brought home a silver medal in the Soccer Olympics in 3 different events of Dribbling, Juggling, and the Shootout!
'04 Girls Take Second Place in the Fort Lowell Shootout!
Coach Thame's 04 girls took home the silver from the Fort Lowell Shootout! Also scoring a gold and 2 silver medals in the skills competetions! Shootout, accuracy and juggling were all medal events for the girls!
Congratulations to '01 Girls For Copa Barca Win!
Congratulations to the AFSC Girls '01 White team and Coach Jim Thames for their championship win in the Copa Barcelona Tournament January 4th - 6th. Playing up in the U14 age group, the '01 team handled the added pressure by responding with convincing wins. The team scored 2 or more goals in each match and didn't give up a goal all tournament. The finals match was against the tournament host team but the AFSC team continued their dominance with a 2-0 win. Way to go girls!
Isabella Glavin Named to 2000 ODP Team
Isabella Glavin, a player on our 2000 Girls White Team has been named to the 2000 AYSA ODP Team. She will represent Arizona in the ODP Region IV Tournament being held January 9-12th at Reach 11 Sports Complex. Congratulations Bella!
Ahwatukee Girls 2000 White win the San Tan Holiday Classic
Congratulations to the AFSC Girls '00 White team and Coach Jim Thames for their championship win in the San Tan Holiday Classic. The Finals game proved exciting (and nervewracking)! After leading in the first half 1-0, the AZ Hammers tied up the game in the second half forcing a penalty kick shootout. It was a PK "nail biter" but AFSC locked up the win with our final shooter. And this tourney follows a first-place finish for our team in State League Division 2. Well done 'Tukee!
Olivia Jones Honored at 2013 ODP Regional Championships
Congratulations to our own "Olive" for her recent performance at the 2013 US Youth Soccer ODP Regional Championships, played the week of Thanksgiving in Boca Raton, Florida. She was one of 3 Region IV (Arizona, California, Washington, Nevada, etc) players that received "All-Star" status from her play at the tournament. Great job Olive!

2013 Banat Southwest Challenge - Two AFSC teams take top spots!
The Banat Southwest Challenge took place November 22-25, although the first two days of the tournament were rained out, the 02 Girls White coached by Coach Marvin, and the 04 Boys Black coached by Coach Coker took first place in the tournament! The format was changed to a penalty kick shoot out. Coach Marvin's team with 4 and 0 and Coach Cokers team went 3 and 1! Congrats to the two teams!

2013 Kick for the Cure - Tukee Shows their skills!
The 04 Red Boys Team Takes Second Place!
The 04 Red team played in the Susan G Koman Kick for the Cure October 15-17th. They Posted a record of 1 Win and 1 draw earning a spot in the Semi Finals against the Roadrunners YSC 04 team. In a thrilling game they won 3 to 2 to advance to the finals! The final game against the Barelona 04 team was intense, a POSL Div 4 team verse a POSL division 6 team, posting a final score of 2 to 1 taking second place! The 04 Red team played their hearts out and it was a thrilling game to watch! Thanks to all those who came out to support the team!

'03 Boys Win The Championship Game!
Congratulations to the Ahwatukee 2003 Boys and Coach Patrick Andrew for their Championship win in the Kick for the Cure 2013 Tournament. The team shot out like a rocket in their first game beating CCV with a score of 8-2 (a team who had beaten us in regular season play). The boys played tough games against AZ Hammers and Scottsdale Blackhawks - earning a spot in the finals for a rematch with the Blackhawks. Ahwatukee won big -- 3-0 in a fast-paced, exciting match. Well done, Tukee!
MSC United Patriots Cup
Kaue's 04 White 2 team from the MSC United Patriots Cup this past weekend. They were asked to enter the tournament on Friday night because another team backed out. They had a bye in league, so all of his players could not make it. The team also had players from Sean's Red and black, Kaue's 06 White, and Marcos' 04 & 05 White. They went undefeated in group play and beat Barcelona AZ 04 Boys in the final 5-1 to win the Championship!

The club was notified of important changes to the Fry's Card program that have been in place before. Please see the link below to get the latest information.
